Optional reminders

Set simple reminders without putting your case story in a notification.

Reminders use generic categories and generic lock-screen notification text. Do not enter an A-number, receipt number, name, address, date of birth, hearing details, country information, or confidential case facts.

Privacy-first by design.Notifications say only that you have a reminder. The reminder category is visible after you open US Asylum Help. This feature does not accept custom reminder text.
Reminders are not legal deadline calculations.US Asylum Help does not calculate filing, appeal, hearing, court, USCIS, detention, or other legal deadlines. Enter only a date and time that you chose yourself.
Step 1

Turn on private notifications.

Permission is requested only when you press the button. US Asylum Help never asks for notification permission automatically.

This browser does not expose the web-push features required for reminders.
Step 2

Create a generic reminder.

There is intentionally no custom-text box. Choose only a general category and a date/time that you selected yourself.

Lock-screen exampleReminder

You have a reminder. Open the app to review it.

The notification deliberately does not include the reminder category, hearing details, case numbers, country, evidence description, or other immigration information.
Need current information instead?

Use official systems for case and agency information.

A reminder does not verify a hearing, deadline, appointment, case status, court closure, or government requirement.
