General information only. Biometrics procedures can change. Follow the current USCIS notice issued for your case.

Keep the original appointment notice and any stamped, marked, or otherwise returned appointment document you receive, plus related USCIS notices. Scan a copy for your records without discarding the original.

Also keep a short factual note with the appointment date, location, and any rescheduling or problem that occurred. If USCIS sends an updated notice, preserve both the old and new notices. Do not place sensitive biometric information into unnecessary third-party services.

If an appointment was missed, rescheduled, or does not appear correctly in an account, use the instructions on the notice and official USCIS resources. Do not assume that advice written for an older biometrics process still applies.
